With all the Arizona heat in the past few months, the building progress slowed down. I did manage to get a few things done though. I’m nearly complete with the internal structure of the horizontal stabilizer. Here are some detailed pictures of the progress.
One of the tasks, in preparation to attach skins to the internal structure, is to build some cradles. The first pic, below, shows how these cradles will assist with the initial insertion of the skeleton into the skins.
Now that the weather is cooling off, it’s time to make some real progress with the horizontal stabilizer. The skins are fully prepped now, and I’m building out the internal structure.
The next steps will be to complete the “internal skeleton” and attach the skins.
